New Zealand-based ‘premium blank clothing retailer’ AS Colour has opened a new 4,351 sq ft store set over two floors at Victoria Leeds shopping centre, adding to its existing UK stores in London’s Shoreditch, Bristol and Newcastle.

Founded in Auckland in 2005, AS Colour puts the focus on quality, longevity, and the perfect fit, fabric and finish. It’s described as “the secret weapon behind the world’s biggest brands, sporting teams, musical festivals and music tours”, with AS Colour serving as “the literal canvas” for merchandise for artists including Drake, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars.

It’s also known for providing “premium canvases” for decorators, with its T-shirts, hoodies, crew neck sweats and headwear perfect for screen printing or embroidering company logos.

AS Colour’s arrival at Victoria Leeds underscores the destination’s position as a key regional anchor, joining the likes of Belstaff, Wax London and Nobody’s Child.

Rachel Bradburn, Head of Leasing at Victoria Leeds landlord Redical, said: “AS Colour’s Yorkshire debut reminds us of Victoria Leeds’ importance in enabling brands to establish a strong bricks-and-mortar presence, as retailers continue to launch milestone stores within its walls.

“AS Colour undoubtedly adds something different to our premium fashion mix and we are confident they will benefit from our engaged catchment and continue on an upward trajectory.”

The news follows the recent Victoria Leeds Fashion Show, held as part of its wider Fashion Week, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of Victoria Gate. The sold-out event showcased the range of retail brands that call Victoria Leeds home, featuring SS26 collections from the likes of John Lewis, AllSaints, Jimmy Fairly and Wax London.
